Laser Treatment for Hyperpigmentation Reduction

Pigmentation reduction, sometimes referred to as age spots, sun spots or dark pigment (please see below for a full list) can be a result of numerous factors such as hormonal changes, aging or sun exposure.  Often, this can be difficult to treat. However, using the latest in innovative laser technologies these dark blemishes can be significantly reduced, leaving you with rejuvenated skin and a brighter, clear and more even complexion.

How does Pigment Reduction work?

By exposing a pigmented lesion or dark spot to our Advanced Fluorescence Technology, the highly concentrated area of melanin (pigment) can shatter. Our system offers greater precision and effectiveness for pigmentation reduction.  The pigment is then absorbed by the body, making the dark patches significantly less visible.*

What to expect at your Treatment

Our new generation of laser pigmentation reduction treatments does minimal damage to the outer skin layer and thus minimises redness and downtime. The ablative element of the laser happens in the deeper skin layers and uses heat to stimulate collagen production. This triggers the body’s natural healing process to stimulate growth of new healthy skin tissue and pigmentation reduction .  During the treatment, some people may feel a mild discomfort, like being pinged with an elastic band.  Furthermore, for larger areas numbing cream and our cold air device will reduce discomfort. Depending on your skin type (and the lesion being treated) some redness and inflammation may be visible after the treatment, but will usually subside in around 48 hours.*
